Gaming fur looking for buddies in Columbus
I've lost touch with the few furs I've made friends with over the years. I find myself sitting around the apartment more and more as the days go by... so it's time to change that. I'm looking to befriend furs that like to game, hang out, laugh and have fun. Especially games and movies old and new. ^v^ | | Sunday, April 22nd, 2012 | 9:49 pm [wolf_hybrid] |

Hey everyone - Also: Morphicon!
I'm not technically an Ohio fur, but me and my group live 10 min south of Cincy so we tend to associate with all of our Ohio brethren the most. I thought it was about time to drop in and say hi, especially since we're going to be at Morphicon again this year. I'm Sal. :) Those who have been to Morphicon may know me by "Growly Genet". I work with Ringtail Cafe Productions - a publishing company that produces both anthro and non-anthro comics, magazines and books. We've got a brand new issue of The Confectionaries for this con and I'm so excited we'll be getting to share it with everyone. I'm open for pre-Morphicon badge commissions. We're doing a price overhaul for AC after this con is over, but my badges are $20 full colour and if you order now, they can be done by Morphicon. Check out my commission sheet here to pre-order: http://www.ringtailcafe.com/commissions/ Also, for anyone interested in furry comics, we're currently running a Kickstarter to pay for the printing of Ringtail Cafe Issue #6. Doing short runs of comics is fine for selling at cons, but we're really wanting to do a push to get Ringtail Cafe into Comic Shops across the country. It's not easy, given that RTC is a furry book, but we hope the reduce in price point will make things more appealing for shops we're marketing too. Kickstarter is safe for donators as well as allowing us to offer all kinds of fun rewards. If you're interested in helping fund the book, be sure to check out our Kickstarter page too: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1608048069/ringtail-cafe-issue-6Last, but not least, a question for those in the know: Is there a Cincinnati Furries group? I keep seeing mention of a Cincy-furs community but I haven't been able to actually talk to anyone from it. :) Good to talk to you all! Hope to catch you at Morphicon soon! | | Wednesday, April 11th, 2012 | 1:40 pm [savant_da_rat]

Looking for fabric scrap donations for Morphicon
I will be running the ears and tail making workshop at Morphicon this year, and am looking for anyone local (within an hour or two of Columbus) who has some faux fur fabric scraps that they'd be willing to donate to the convention. It can be small swatches or weirdly-shaped remnants that you have leftover from a previous project. Please contact me directly if you have something to donate, and we'll work out a way to transfer the fabric to before or at Morphicon. Thanks much! :) | | Wednesday, November 9th, 2011 | 12:18 pm [skylos]

Incoming Doggie
I have landed a job in Columbus! I'll be arriving sunday night or monday, and I'll be working in Westerville, and I found an apartment in Reynoldsburg. so tell me, what's the local furry activity calendar like? Anybody like to play cribbage? Race for the galaxy? Chess? Dominion? Whatever? Any mailing list I should sign up for to enable smooth communications? Upcoming show you guys might be interested in
Hey everyone, New here but looking to make friends. I just moved from Sycamore Illinois. I love music, circuit bending (<-- dork, I know!) and drawing. I'm not great on the internet and would really like to meet some furs in person (in furson?) Some old friends of mine are playing a show here on the 17th at the Mike Hancock Milo Arts Center (has anyone ever been there? Good place to see a show?) They're called CMKT4 and they're playing with these guys called Toydeath, who are super incredible. Anyone want to meet up at the show? Has anyone seen Nashoba?
Hi guys There's an old friend of mine I've lost contact with a while ago and it's like he's just up and disappeared off the map. If any of you could let me know if he's doing alright, that would be awesome and the best way for him or you or anybody to reach me is through my e-mail address: im_surrounded_by_frickin_idiots@hotmail.c om Hate to have to do it here, but we didn't have any kind of falling out or blow up or anything like that. I'm just curious/concerned that he's just gone off the map without a trace. Thanks! Arwen - formerly "Berner" | | Wednesday, December 15th, 2010 | 4:51 pm [kitt3ns]

Attention all Ohio and midwest furry Christians!!!
I have been lurking a while on this LJ and decided I finally have something worthwhile to announce! Some of you might have heard about this via the OhioFurs mailing list posts, but many of you probably have not, so here goes. I have been seeking out like-minded fellow Christian furs locally to be able to meetup, chat, socialize, and have open discussion about our faith and what it means to us. I thought that to make such contact easier and to be generally more accessible to more people then just local meets, I decided to set up a forum and a chatroom. For any Christian (practicing or not) or any who seek God in their lives...for those furries who live in Ohio or other parts of the midwest...to get together for fellowship, conversation, and spiritual reflection. The forum is set up with sections for inspiration, knowledge, personal sharing, and topics and questions relating to the Faith and to what that means to us as furs. I humbly welcome you to come, take a look and join in! Finally a safe place for you to express your faith with others, without fear of reprisal or condemnation. I know the furry fandom is full of those who like to jeer at or mock those with strong Christian beliefs, and I hope that this group will give strength and courage to those who feel they have to hide their faith. I know the forum and membership seems small right now, but the more people that we have join up and take part, the bigger and better it shall become! So again, I invite you to take a look and take part! The forums: http://www.thegoodshepherd.pinkhusky.com/forum/The chatroom: http://www.thegoodshepherd.pinkhusky.com/chat/Thank you for reading, may the Lord bless you and keep you! Furs in Need
Some of you know thrashbear, who's attended Morphicon before. His neighbor's house caught fire last night, and it spread to his house as well. He and his roommates fire_lupine, firefoxbc and landis_mclovin have lost pretty well all of their stuff. They have places to stay until the house can be repaired, but they've lost basically had all of their possessions ruined by smoke and water damage. Their friend dobie (also an ex-panellist at Morphicon) has set up a PayPal account to take donations. The link is at http://lildobe.livejournal.com/199892.html . He also has a physical address there where donations of clothing, small appliances, electronics, etc can be sent. Surplus items will be given to local charities. Oddly, swift_fox was one of the firefighters who responded to the call. http://swift-fox.livejournal.com/740374.html has details and pictures. Current Mood: sad |
